Betting On Fulham Versus Everton Next Week
Wednesday, October 19th, 2011
In Fulham’s match against Everton at Craven Cottage next weekend, it will be fascinating to see which of these two mid-table teams comes out on top. Neither side will be near to qualifying for Europe or getting relegated come the end of this season and so this game will undoubtedly be a close encounter. Since Martin Jol’s arrival at Fulham he has turned them into an organised and creative outfit that can beat anybody on their day. The partnership of Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora up front always promises goals as both players are excellent finishers with decent pace. I am very much a betting man, but I don’t normally bet on horses unless I have a very good tip. I am much more likely to bet on football as this is the sport that I know more about, although betting on football is always very difficult as the game can be so unpredictable. A good way to get round the fact that it is so difficult to predict scores of games is to use the in-game betting that lots of bookies offer. This means that you can place bets on occurrences such as next goal scored, next corner kick, or yellow and red cards. The advantage of betting in this way is that if you can see that the tide of the game is turning in a particular direction, you can bet on what you think is about to happen, so for example if you can see that a player is starting to lose his rag because he is being tormented by a tricky winger or striker, you can place a bet that he is about to get booked or sent off. This is a much simpler way to bet on football than trying to predict the score as the latter technique is notoriously difficult. (more…)
